The health, safety and well-being of all our staff and our families is our absolute priority at this time more than ever, and underpins all of our decisions and actions.
Our current COVID-19 guidelines are as follows. By attending the kindergarten, parents/guardians agree to adhere to these.
● Wash Your Hands
Please wash your hands or use sanitiser upon entry and at regular intervals while in attendance. Children will be directed to wash their hands at various times throughout the day including after toileting, before and after meals, after using tissues etc.
● Wear a Mask
Parents/carers are required to wear a mask at all times when at the Kindergarten. Educators will wear masks during drop-off and pick-up times.
● Practice Social Distancing
All adults in attendance at the Kindergarten are required to maintain 1.5m distance wherever possible. Please ensure you do not congregate during drop-off and pick-up times. If you arrive early, please wait in your car.
● Encourage Good Hygiene
Cough or sneeze into your sleeve or tissue and wash your hands afterwards. Assist your children to develop good hygiene practices by role playing at home. Should your child have a comfort item or toy that they require, please wash or launder frequently.
● Hold Meetings Digitally
Educator-parent conversations during drop-off and pick-up times will be brief. Should you have a matter you need to discuss with the educators, please arrange a time for them to call you or send you an email.
● Use the QR Code
Should you be in attendance at the Kindergarten for 15 minutes or longer, you are required to register with the QR Code Contact Tracing System. The QR Code is displayed in the foyer. Should you not have a smartphone capable of scanning a QR Code, please speak to the Educators.
● If Sick, Stay at Home
If you, your child, or anyone in your household is unwell with even mild symptoms, please get tested and isolate until you receive your results.
If you, your child, or anyone in your household has been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, been asked to quarantine or self-isolate, recently visited a hot spot, or attended an exposure site, please do not attend the Kindergarten and seek government advice.
Should your child become unwell during the day or display even mild symptoms, they will be sent home.
We will be reviewing and updating these Guidelines as required to ensure that they are in line with current Victorian Government advice.
